Is Obama a Closet Communist?

     As the race for the democratic presidential candidate draws to a climax, new revelations of Senator Obama’s background and views continue to arise. Since the presidential race began, the Illinois senator has been celebrated for his eloquent speech and overall charisma. Senator Obama’s unremitting declaration for the need to “change” this country has mesmerized the hoards of American sheep, who follow the Senator, not because of what he proclaims to specifically accomplish, or how he would accomplish anything, but because of a simple word…change! If we bear in mind that according to the U.S. Constitution, (article II, section II) the main responsibility of the President is to act as Commander in Chief of the military, (there is no mention of any responsibility for the government of individual states), the obvious question should then arise: what exactly, does the Senator propose to change? Given the bits and pieces of information that have emerged so far, it seems entirely possible that the promised change might well be to transform our republic to a socialist government and upon the disarmament of the American people, progress to a communist government.

     I have, because of my online radio show, borne many accusations of “McCarthyism,” “Conspiracy theorist” and “Racist.” I am most certainly none of the above, however as an American citizen I have every right to scrutinize any person who may wish to serve as President of the United States of America! Therefore, if a candidate such as Senator Obama runs upon a platform consisting of one overall vague idea, such as “change,” I want to know what he really means!

     Senator Obama recently stated: “my friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change it.” Doesn’t this sound a bit strange? Probably not, if you take it literally. It is a given fact that Senator Obama is regarded by his peers as the most liberal senator in the country. I must point out here, that in my view, liberal or progressive is synonymous with socialist, i.e., big government control of everything… to include our individual rights. Senator Obama was also recently asked if he would support legislation which would make it illegal to purchase or to even OWN a handgun, the Senator replied: YES. Senator Obama has also stated that he believes that the U.S. should dismantle all of our nuclear weapons, (this would be like walking through the worst part of town at night, by yourself and, if you had a gun, to throw it away, thus leaving yourself at the mercy of the bad people, unless of course, you are stupid enough to think that there are no bad people).

     The Trinity United Church of Christ, which Obama has attended for twenty years, proclaims, its abhorrence of America, through the words of its former Pastor Jeremiah Wright: “God Dam America!” At this point, I have to state that in my view, religion is belief and one does not spend a couple of weeks, let alone twenty years listening to ideas that they do not believe in. Senator Obama is, of course certainly entitled to take and express any views he may choose, but he is also asking the American people to elect him as President of the United States of America!

     The facts that have emerged so far, seem to paint a picture of a man who believes in overall government control, (Socialism), the eventual disarming of the American people and who is offended by what he apparently believes America stands for. The actual presidential race has not even begun and I am curious what more about the senator lies yet uncovered.

     In the aftermath of “super Tuesday,” which has left the conservative base of the republican party, or conservatives in general, for that matter, with no true conservative candidate to vote for, there is yet another subject which I must admit, is more significant to me, personally. A couple of months ago, the far left liberal organization called Code Pink, vandalized a United States Marine Corps recruiting office in Berkley California. I, for my part, wrote an open letter to Code Pink, (of course I never received an answer), basically stating to them, that as a retired U.S. Marine, I considered them to be a meaningless, childlike, criminal, (vandalistic) organization. I also posted a copy of this letter on this website.

     Last week, the city council of Berkley voted to condemn the U.S. Marine recruiting station in that town, stating that the Marines were “unwelcome!” In fact, the mayor of Berkley stated on television, for the world to whiteness, that; “the Marines are not welcome here…they should never have come.”

     The mayor of Berkley, by saying that the MARINES are not welcome, is obviously speaking to MARINES…ALL MARINES!! As a retired U.S. Marine, I ask; why is this discrimination levied against a group of Americans who have broken no laws? When code Pink vandalized the Marine recruiting station, they spray- painted “TRAITORS” upon the door of the office. Traitors?!! There are no more loyal Americans than U.S. Marines! The motto of the Marine Corps is: Semper Fidelis; ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!

     If the CEO of a national restaurant, for example, were to state that a group of people were not welcome in their restaurants for what ever reason, this would be considered an outrageous crime! Why is this condemnation and in fact, utter discrimination of the U.S. Marine Corps, by the city of Berkley California not considered a crime? I am also curious why the city of Berkley has singled out the Marine Corps from the other military branches…unless the Marines have the only recruiting station in the despicable city!

     The good news is, that six republican senators and a representative from Orange County, California, have initiated bills, (in retaliation to this discrimination) called the “Semper Fi act of 2008,” that will terminate federal funding to the city of Berkley. The Semper Fi act would result in the loss of two million dollars of federal funds to U.C. Berkley and approximately one million to another city organization.

     This shining example of liberal, hypocrisy and stupidity should be used as a study aid in schools to illustrate the difference between conservative and liberal thinking. How amazing and discussing that in the American city of Berkley California, gay pride is celebrated. Illegal aliens are welcome. Jihadist terrorists would most likely be embraced, but the United States Marines are “UNWELCOME.”

     Let me take this opportunity to apologize for the absence of a column for the last few weeks! Our website; “Where Freedom Rings,” was hacked into and although you may have been able to access the information that was already posted, the site was corrupted. The webmaster, (my Brother Dan), had to re-write the entire site, which was time consuming and since we both have full-time jobs, it was awhile before things were fixed, however all is now back to normal! Once again…sorry for the inconvenience.

     I just came across an article in the Miami Herald, written by Carl Rosenberg, which states that some eighty or more lawyers who represent detainees at Guantanimo Bay Prison, have bestowed their support upon Senator Obama for president in the hope that under such an administration, the Gitmo prison will be closed.

     These lawyers, as well as many liberal/progressive Americans feel that the men detained at Gitmo have been denied the right of Habeas Corpus and are being held without charges. Obama stated this last November that if elected president, he would close the off shore prison camp and “restore Habeas Corpus.” Senator John McCain has made similar statements to the effect, saying that the camp at Gitmo has promulgated anti-American feelings throughout the globe.

     I simply cannot understand why these people; progressives, lawyers, senators…morons all…refuse to understand that the men held at Guantanimo Bay are not American citizens…they are ENEMY COMBATINTS!! They are THE BAD GUYS!!! I have to say that as far as the opinion of the rest of the world is concerned, I as an American citizen, could care less!! In fact, I would like to compile a list of the countries who criticize us for attempting to protect ourselves, (remember…we did not just randomly kidnap some unfortunate middle Eastern people), and discontinue whatever monetary aid we so generously give to them each year, (we give billions of dollars in aid to most every country on earth).

     I suppose that I can understand the point of view of these idiotic liberals, since these are the same people who would attempt to hug a mugger, which would, of course simply make the mugger’s job much easier. My real problem is with the ir-responsible, politically motivated stance of Senators Obama and McCain, who would, by their own admission close this prison and send            TERRORISTS back out into the world…free to plot and kill more Americans!

     Maybe this is what it will take to wake up liberal/progressive America. Complacency has killed many a soldier, possibly, it is too much to ask that American civillians stand back and remember that there is a reason that we haven’t had a terrorist attack in this country since 9/11.

     I believe that some liberals are camouflaged communists or socialists, but the mainstream liberals are merely mindless dolts, who believe anything that they might be able read on a bathroom wall. This must be the only reason that a human would insist upon being reactive instead of pro-active when faced with the very real possibility of attacks upon our lives…by the very people who they so sincerely desire to release from Gitmo!

     Governor Mitt Romney, on the other hand, has stated that he would double the capacity of the Guantanimo Bay prison. Why would one elect a President, (who’s main duty is to protect this nation), that promises to make gravely important decisions, regarding our national security, based upon the opinions of other countries?

               Can We yet Preserve Our Values?

     If one will examine our current American culture and compare it to our own culture thirty or forty years ago, the result will revel a lack of, and continued  diminishment of our values. Common manners may be used as one measure of the level of the culture of a society. If our present, normal extension of manners, (if any), in America today, reflect the level of values that support American traditions, then in my view, our way of life is quickly deteriorating. If this is indeed the case, how do we preserve our values and thereby preserve our American culture?

     I have taken notice of many small indications of our collective jettison of the traditional  Judeao, Christian values which are the foundation of our American culture. Many of these examples may seem small and meaningless unto themselves, however, when combined with many other little things, we begin to notice a definite pattern.

     It may seem funny at first thought, but this pattern of deteriorating American values is recorded on television and can be viewed by anyone! In the 1950s-1960s and even for the most part in the 1970s, American television consisted of drama comedy and variety, all regulated by the limits of our value system of the time.

     Watch some old television shows and see for yourself! There were shows about families such as “leave it to Beaver,” and “Father Knows Best.” It seems to be common nowadays for people to make fun of the families depicted in these shows, or more specifically, to make fun of the lifestyle and VALUES portrayed in these old shows. When watching an old television show like “Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show,” or a variety show like the “Jackie Gleason show,” or even a western like “Bonanza,” you will notice the absence of foul language and blatant suggestions of sexual activity. You will also observe the extension of manners! Men took their hats off to a lady. A lady did not have a horribly foul mouth! People said please and thank you. Children addressed adults as mister, misses or miss! Good was glorified over evil and in some shows, like the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans weekly, there was always a direct correlation between good and God.

     What a difference now! Channels like MTV depict women engaging in half nude contortions that, thirty years ago would have only taken place in a strip club! There are other shows  that portray men and women engaged in homosexual activity and of course, there is  [realistic] violence. This drastic change in our society comes about because of LIBERALISM, or as Liberals like to put it: progression. To a liberal mind, this mutation of our values is PROGRESSION!! This progression, by the way, which is internationally illuminated on television is one reason that radical Muslims consider the United States to be the “great satan!” I constantly hear liberals accusing their own country and its leaders of fostering enemies, but it is the liberal trash can life-style that has, to a great degree, aroused these radical Muslim enemies!

     Our traditional American culture, our American values, are quickly passing into history to be replaced by decadence and in my view, any chance of reversing this societal mutation is slim. Money is the extreme motivation for many and if perversion sells, so be it! There will be no help from the main stream, [liberal] media or manufacturers of video games. If we Americans are to prevent our way of life from slipping into memory, it must be done on a personal basis.

     We must start by giving our own families culture…teaching our own children, or even grandchildren how to use manners and that there is an appropriate time and place for things and for some things there is no place in a moral society…if morality is still based upon the laws of God!

     

       

       

 

 

 

       Calling All Veterans to Boycott San Francisco!

     San Francisco, the “city by the bay,” is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the country. San Francisco bay was originally discovered by the Spanish when they were exploring the [now] California coast for a convenient port for their Philippine galleons. As the bay became known to other nations, a small settlement was established, mainly because of a British sailor who jumped ship.

     The tiny settlement, because of its location on a great natural bay, which is also the head of a vast delta, grew into the thriving city that exists today. San Francisco is truly a place unto itself. Huge eucalyptus trees flourish along with much other indigenous foliage in the cool, generally foggy climate. The unique architecture of the city’s buildings are constantly engulfed with the distinct aromas of a wide variety of foods cooking, mixed of course, with the ever present smell of salt in the air.

     San Francisco also hosts great entertainment, such as the San Francisco Opera, The San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. San Francisco must, then, be a perfect city to visit…right? If you are a Veteran or an active duty service member, the answer is absolutely not! This is, of course a free country, and anybody is free to roam where they choose, I simply meant to convey the idea…my view…that the city of San Francisco, overall, despises our military and I for one, will never again spend a dime in that city!

     Treasure Island, an island in the bay and former U.S. Navy base, (until it was closed by President Bill Clinton), was a rallying area during WWII, (my father and uncles were there until they were sent overseas). Hundreds of U.S. Navy ships carrying tens of thousands of men passed under the Golden Gate Bridge to fight in the Pacific theatre. The city of San Francisco had, up until the late seventies, a warm heart toward the Navy and the U.S. Military in general.

     This attitude towards our military is now completely opposite of those bygone days of WWII. In the late eighties or early nineties, the U.S. Navy was considering sending the Iowa battle group to San Francisco. The USS Iowa was our last great battleship left on active duty at the time. A battle group consists of a large ship, (in this case a battleship), supported tactically and logistically by many other ships. In other words, the Iowa battle group would have been an enormous economical shot in the arm for the city of San Francisco, but the city adamantly said no!

     Later, when the Iowa was decommissioned, a local historic ships foundation attempted to acquire the great vessel and moor her in San Francisco as a floating museum and monument to our military. This never happened because the people of San Francisco were steadfastly opposed to the idea of a “military” ship in their city. More recently, the U.S. Marine corps was denied permission to film a recruiting video on the streets of San Francisco and on the Golden Gate Bridge, (huge gay pride parades and demonstrations, [some extremely lewd and vile] are routinely permitted upon the city’s streets). Recruiters and reserve officer training programs have also been banned from the local schools. Public officials such as Gerardo Sandoval have publicly stated that there should be no military in this country. In short…and I am speaking to active duty military, retired military, veterans in general and families of military…THEY DON’T WANT US THERE!!!!

     As I stated earlier, I will not spend another dime in San Francisco. Moreover I will write to my Senators and congressmen and ask that they question the U.S. Navy’s continued support of “Fleet Week”’ in San Francisco. I ask you to consider doing the same. There is power in numbers. If we, as active duty personnel and Veterans boycott the city of San Francisco, hopefully, it will then be left to exist as the socialist, pool of perversion and pestilence that the majority of its citizens seem to prefer.

     Don’t forget that there are great tourist options in California, such as San Diego, Stockton and Sacramento, all port cities, (Stockton and Sacramento are inland port cities), with their own distinct, interesting atmospheres! 

 

This is an open letter to the Code Pink Organization.

     I am writing this letter to respond to your organization’s recent protest in front of the office of Captain Richard Lund, U.S. Marine Corps; Officer Selection Officer; North Bay, and your continued assault upon Military recruiters in general. In your vandalistic etching of “recruiters are traitors” upon the “OSO Officer’s door, you express your organization’s obvious contempt for the U.S. Military in your charge that “recruiters are traitors!”

     Please allow me; as one who has spent most my life in service to this country, to inform the organization of code Pink; obviously made up of individuals who have not spent an hour in service to this country; that recruiters are military men and women who are serving in the temporary capacity of “Recruiters!” With your act of vandalism, you therefore accuse every active duty military person, every veteran and every military retiree of being a traitor!

     As a person who has spent my entire life in the “real world,” (here and overseas), I say to Code Pink that your methods of conveying ignorant, misinformed propaganda and indulgence in vandalism are utterly disgusting! Through your actions and words, you as an organization, exhibit a set of pusillanimous and perfidious values equal to the radical terrorists who have attacked and killed innocent Americans, and who seek to destroy and overrun this country and Western civilization.

     I would therefore challenge you to rise to the level of courage that you seem to feel that you display and as free Americans, travel to Iraq, Syria and Iran, and without the protection of any U.S. Military “Traitors,” negotiate with Al Quida, Hamas and Hesbelah, to end their hostilities against America, its citizens and Western Culture in general!

     In closing; on your website, you display the thoughts of Andre Gide, A Frenchman, who having lived through the German occupation of his own country, writes:

     Perhaps you will accept my challenge to you, to consider quotes from your own “Countrymen,” such as this:

  I do have to truthfully say that I would assume that you would consider our founding fathers to be “Traitors,” as well! In my view, you have, through your own actions and words, made it impossible for any intelligent, informed American to take “Code Pink” seriously.

Numbers for military absentee ballots called into question

St. Francis County may be one of many counties statewide that failed to report the number of absentee ballots requested by military members and residents overseas in last year’s election.


According to a story from the Associated Press, the federal Election Assistance Commission says many officials failed to track the information, required by the Help America Vote Act of 2002. A report by the commission found Arkansas county clerks mailed 5,173 absentee ballots to military members and others overseas in 2004, and 2,539 were returned. But the secretary of state’s office reported 3,059 absentee ballots were returned and 2,853 were counted in the November 2004 election.


In last November’s general election, the commission found about one-third of nearly 1,500 Arkansans who requested absentee ballots because theywere overseas or deployed in other states had their ballots counted. The commission said 1,477 of these ballots were requested, 479 were cast and 465 were counted.


But those figures were compiled based on varying numbers from the counties reporting them. For example, 47 counties provided some information to determine the 465 ballot count figure, while 53 provided some data for the 1,477 ballot request figure. Eighteen counties didn’t provide any data, said Natasha Naragon, a spokesman for Daniels.


St. Francis County may have been one of those 18. This morning County Clerk Elizabeth Smith said that she was not aware of any formal reporting process in regard to overseas or military ballots. She said that as a rule, St. Francis County sees less than 15 requests for the ballots in a given year.


“I don’t recall any formal process for reporting those numbers back to the state, but we may have 12 requests at the most for a general electio, and that’s usually when we get requests for the overseas and military ballots. Out of that 12, we may get half of those back in,” said Smith.


According to the AP, Secretary of State Charlie Daniels called the issue of overseas ballots “a total mess” but also said that the problems are not limited to this state. Daniels also said that county election officials are overwhelmed by their duties.


“They are busy. They are loaded to the gills. I can’t criticize a county official for not keeping up with all this reporting business when they are trying to conduct an election,” said Daniels.


Smith agreed, saying, “When it’s time for an election we’re very busy. Last year everything we did in the weeks leading up to an election dealt with that election, unless it was an emergency.”


Daniels is a proponent of creating a full-time election coordinator position for each f the 75 counties statewide, but Smith said that the coordinator would not relieve much of the pressure surrounding her office during elections.


“I’ve heard the talk about election coordinators, and I’m sure that a full-time position would help out in some areas, but we deal with absentee voting and early voting, and a coordinator really would not help there because they work with all of the other election issues and with the election commission. That’s something that we wouldn’t see until 2009 anyway because that’s when the next session is,” said Smith.


The county currently has a part-time election coordinator who works with the election commission. A bill creating the positions was withdrawn during this year’s legislative session. A law passed this year by the state Legislature will give more time to prepare and print ballots and extends the turnaround time for ballots sent from overseas.

  This is both unamerican and a crock of  Bull.

   I can clearly see why our Military folks could feel it is a waste of their effort to vote since they are not heard anyway. This is deplorable.

 

Charlie Daniels called the issue of overseas ballots “a total mess

  If this were a part of my job as an elected official I would be damned if I would make such statements publicly, unless I had done all within my power to fix it.

    If I were the Secretary of State you could bet that I would criticize every official responsible. This statement also proves why Daniels just sums it up as a mess. He has

     lost  control of his position. Primarily for having a hands off approach to management.

    This is a completely stupid thing to say. Lets say if it were a matter of tax collection and reporting. They even know where your deerstand address is and will find you. example. Today after I wrote the secretary of state and many editors, I got a card telling me to pay my delinquent franchise taxes. We all know that they can do a better job and must or I believe impeachment is in order. This includes any County or State official who knows they are doing wrong.

State Agencies committee before it being withdrawn by the author. 
 

    I hereby Request for a special session of the Legislature to correct this problem before the 2008 Elections . Since Our Secretary of State is powerless to act on his own assigned duties.
